Hello Y Soccer Family,
This will be my final update for the 2015 Soccer Year. Our league website ymcasoccer.playerspace.com has converted over to the Spring 2016 Program as of today.
Thank you to our volunteer coaches, players, parents, soccer staff and the Wilmington Family YMCA for all the support I get to deliver a program like ours to the Wilmington community. I truly enjoy my job and am proud to running it and look forward to improvements in 2016, our 41st year providing soccer.

Unclaimed Pictures & Awards:
These items may be picked-up at the YMCA Y Express located at 11 S. Kerr Avenue. I invite all non-members to try a one week membership to the Y at no charge, so when picking up your item(s) please ask for a tour and if you’re interested refer the Y Express Staff to this email to redeem your 1 week pass.

Winter Futsal (Indoor Soccer) starts on January 3rd 2016.

Note to all Microns: The Micron program will be changing in Spring 2015. This will now be called “Itty-Bitty Clinics” and will be held on your choice of weekday from 4:30 PM to 5:15 PM or Saturdays at 8:30 AM. The Itty-Bitty Clinics will be instructed by a YMCA Soccer Staff and will work with parents that are interested in coaching at the next level. This was done to insure that our volunteer coaches get more hands on training, players are having fun and to better accommodate schedules for this age group.
2016 Academy Training Program begins on February 16th.

These are small group training sessions with US Soccer Federation certified YMCA Soccer Coaches.

We have 25 players traveling to Charleston, SC next weekend to compete in their first tournament.
REGISTRATION FOR ALL SOCCER PROGRAMS WILL BE COMPLETED ONLINE THROUGH THE YMCA.
We will still be using Playerspace for league communication but Playerspace will no longer be handling the registration process. Please visit www.willmingtonfamilyymca.org/register to enroll in any of our programs. If you currently do not have an account or membership at the YMCA you can create one for free. FINAL DAY for the 2015 Wilmington Family YMCA Annual Campaign is Monday, November 16th.
The Wilmington Family YMCA does way more than just soccer for the Wilmington community. The Annual Campaign allows the YMCA to provide services to all our community members. Through money raised in this campaign 4 in 10 kids get to go to summer camp, 1 in 5 families are welcomed into the Y Membership Family and 1 in 10 kids get to play soccer in our program. We are currently $10,000 away from our goal this year. Please help us reach our goal, if you are able to make a donation by visiting:

Cape Fear Community College offers all participants in our Youth Soccer Program a free “Sports Pass”.
CFCC and the Wilmington Family YMCA has a great working relationship and they have offered every youth player in our program a free “Sports Pass” which is valid for free admission to any CFCC home game for any sport.
